Miss InWorldz and the Fantasy Fashion Show

When a fashion extravaganza and a fashion contest coincide, it's fashionista nirvana!  And I have been blissed-out on haute couture delight for a week...ever since the first round of Miss InWorldz was able to go off without a hitch (the first week, the event crashed not only Bella but IDI as well!).  Several of IW's most lovely beauties sashayed down the catwalk, strutting their stuff to have a chance to be proclaimed Miss InWorldz at the end of the contest.  The show was a delight to see, as each contestant showed her own idiosyncratic style for an appreciative audience...everything from high fashion to the hottest trends.  Round 2 is going on today at 2 pm IWT, so make sure you get in there to see it!

And the Fantasy Fashion Show...featuring fine fashions by  EMO-tions, Simply Fae, Lady Lyra's, MiraMode, Pixie Dust, Matahari Style, and Mer-Elf Creations (and adorable sandals by Webby Merlin!)...was simply stunning!  The set (by Anyraya Braveheart) was designed as a graveyard, with headstones as seats, fog, giant spiders creeping about, giant spiderwebs, bats...just creepilicious!  The fashions were modeled by Dazzeray Snowpaw, Pebbles Somerset, Manni Poliert, Tori Jules, and Lynne Lundquist.  How to describe...?  Witches, faes, pans, vamps...sexy, playful, fanciful and gorgeous fashions shared the catwalk and whipped the audience into a frenzy...and there were a lot of people in attendance for this one!  It's quite possible that a video was made on this one...I thought I heard a rumor...so be on the lookout if you missed it on Oct. 22nd at 2pm!

Even Fashionistas get the blues...

...when they have to miss an Allure fashion show!  AND when several new models are being featured as well...but I am finally over my crying jag...eye swelling gone down, powdered nose to hide red shininess...OK!  And yes...it did take me over three weeks to get over the devastation of missing such an event!  But...Life Goes On!

And the Leather and Lace event, from what my sources tell me, was amazing!  Two new models made their catwalk debut...Risteard McKenna (Ris for short) and Lynne Lundquist - who travels with her own cheering section, I've heard! *winks* - and were apparently big hits with the audience, with Tinyallthat Young and Tori Jules rounding out the stellar cast.  And as you can imagine, the fashions for a leather and lace show were très hot!  The designers who contributed to the show were NJ Designs, Jaricat, Sweetwater Trading Post, and Mojo...and when I say hot...tight leather pants on a hot male bod...barely-there lace ...dresses???...on sexy female models...sprayed-on pink leather...crotchless buckskins - altho I did hear there was a breechcloth to preserve *ahem* modesty...! - let's just say I don't think the numbers go high enough on the thermometer to measure how hot it was on that stage!  And for all the calls for ice water from various members of the audience - both male and female - the audience was feeling the burn too!  Oh to have missed such an event...but no, cannot dwell on it...mustn't cry off the powder...!

But this ne'er-say-die Fashionista did make it to the next event, the Fall Fashion Show...and fie on all you who call yourselves fashionistas and missed this one!  This show featured the return of Manni Poliert to the stage, much to the delight of his loyal (and very vocal!) fan base, who were rewarded with the sight of him strutting his stuff in a verrrry sexy Highland kilt outfit...wish maybe now you hadn't missed??  And Allure debuted yet two more new models, Lindee Ellsmere and DiamondGlitz Resident - who is, by-the-way, a newlywed as well!  Double the congrats!  Divalin Magic was the fourth model to grace and adorn the runway for the amazing fall fashions. And this was the event for textures of all kinds...tweeds, wools, silks, linens, patterns of all kinds - fall was in the air (if not actually on the calendar yet!).  Fashions were provided by SF Designs, Peace Creations, and UnWound.  And of course, Anyraya Braveheart of Calia's Design did her usual stellar job of decorating both sets, and prizes for the shows were provided by Seda's Victorian Furnishings, Image Reflections, Plumtree Furniture & Decor, Caleidoscope, I Build Stuff, Aroha, Dulce Design and End of the Road.

So until next time, my fashionista friends...Ciao for now!

Ap-paws! for the Tinies Show!

Cries of "Awwwwww!" and "So cuuuuuuute!" and "Appaws!" filled the air at the Allure fashion show Saturday, August 20 after 2 pm sometime...sometime because the dozens of tinies and biggies crashed Bella sim, then IDI as they were all directed there.  Quite a shock to one's nerves, I may add!  (It is believed that HUDs and AOs were responsible although I do not know if that was confirmed).  But once everyone was able to get back to a reset Bella, and audience members were asked to turn off AO's and HUDs, the show went on in spectacular Allure style.  Pebbles Somerset, Manni Poliert, and Rhiannon McKenna showed fashions by DragonForge, Moontan, and Tiny Essentials, ably assisted by Tori Jules as model manager and Raven Dulce as emcee.  From steampunk dwagons to schoolgirl looks...Tron suits to pajamas and teddybears...frilly dresses to Starfleet officers...everything was just sooooo adorable!  Special poses by Antsie Avie gave the tiny models attitude to spare for the adorable outfits...if you weren't there, you missed out on one of the cutest, most adorable fashion shows this Fashionista has ever been privileged to see!

And if you're looking for things to do this week - MAAD is a great place to check out for events.  Just look on the sign-in page for InWorldz, the forum, search events, or check at their place (The Museum of American Architect, Oceanna (135, 182, 23)).  Get MAAD today!

She's Baaaaa-ck!

Yes, the Fashionista took some time off to rest and refresh her inner shopper...and totally forgot to tell you about the wild time Allure had at the Portugal sim August 6 at 2 pm!  "Portugal Rocks" was the name of the show...and Portugal sure did rock that Saturday!  With 40+ people in attendance, watching the show and spending their I'z like all good fashionistas should do, it was an amazing experience!  A new addition to the Allure model lineup, Tinyallthat Young, debuted on the runway, and Manni Poliert returned after an absence; his grateful female groupies were practically fainting in the aisles every time he hit the runway!  Fashions from London Core and Blue Moon and jewelry from Katharina Svarovski wowed and electrified the crowd, who probably spent plenty of I'z trying to get the gorgeous items they saw the models wear!  Pebbles Somerset and Rhiannon McKenna rounded out the modeling lineup.  If you weren't there...*sigh*...well, it's your loss!  I was, and I loved every minute of it!  An Allure show is quite an event, and one I wouldn't want to miss!  Hopefully I'll see your faces in the crowd next time...!

And make sure you go to the Tinies show Allure is putting on this Saturday at 2 pm.  It's just cuteness overload!
